Earlier this week, President Trump announced two acts to help individuals and businesses during the COVID-19 outbreak. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act is $2 trillion relief package that provides much needed economic relief to families, businesses and the healthcare industry during the COVID-19 outbreak. Such relief will come in the form of tax free payments and funding for healthcare providers, lifesaving supplies and vaccines, small businesses needing assistance, the Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Relief Fund and more. The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19.
