The City of Peoria will be hosting flu, shingles, pneumonia, and COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots, in partnership with Albertsons/Safeway Pharmacy. COVID-19 and flu shots are free with most insurance plans but individuals should check with their insurance regarding all vaccines. Individuals must bring their insurance cards and photo IDs to the appointment. Individuals may be eligible for a COVID-19 booster vaccine if they are:
• 65 years old and older
• Live in a long-term care facility
• 18 to 64 years of age with underlying medical conditions
• 18 years or older and in an occupational or institutional setting where the burden of COVID-19 infection and risk of transmission are high based on individual benefit or risk
• Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series have been completed six or more months ago
• 18 years of age or older and the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine has been administered two or more months ago
