One-year resident of Vistancia. Business professional with 23 years in the financial services industry, and 16-year Air Force veteran.
The skills I bring to the table include strong leadership, ability to collaborate, seasoned public speaker, project management, and most of all, a passion for our community.
Do you currently or have you previously served on a board or committee?
How will you be able to put aside personal biases and desires to make decisions for the betterment of the entire community?
I will take a fact-based approach and will collaborate with those with different opinions to ensure our community is fairly represented.
What is the most important issue facing the community in the next two years?
In my opinion, Vistancia is a lifestyle. We need to preserve this and take appropriate measures to create prudent growth of our community, strong relationships with town and police leaders, and be responsive to the needs of our residents.
What can the Association do to help maintain or improve current property values?
Focus on the things you do well and be willing to bring in outside experts. For example, crime and police response times, traffic flow issues, and be an advocate for responsible commercial development that raise the standards of our community.
What are the three most important ways we can increase the sense of community in Vistancia?
1. Visibility- Keep doing the community events
2. Innovate-Seek out additional efforts to meet the needs of our residents. Many folks work from home; possible opportunity to engage in non-traditional ways.
3. Partner with grassroots organizations with similar interests. Example: Upper West side Phoenix.
How do you feel about the collaborative-partnership approach between the Board, community members and the management team? What would you do to support and/or improve these relationships moving forward?
I haven't been involved enough to provide a substantive answer. If I am privileged enough to serve, I would observe and provide suggestions.
